The jobholder is responsible for reviewing and evaluating drugs and medical supplies to ensure they are safe and efficacious for consumption.

Dispense prescription medications and provide information to patients about the drugs and their use.
Review prescriptions and advice physicians and other healthcare workers on dosage, selection, drug interactions and side effects of medications to treat health problems.
Establish and maintain methods and manner of storage systems to provide for safekeeping of pharmaceuticals.
Assist in the development and review of strategies and policies for implementation and ensure monitoring and evaluation of pharmaceutical procedures.
Provide technical support in the provision of pharmaceutical supplies, medical supplies and drugs.
Conduct quality control testing of drugs and medical supplies as well as monitor clinical trials and research to inform decision making on policies, guidelines and SOP.

A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharm. D. from a recognized University. A Minimum of provisional License

Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures;
